The Safe Spoon, an allergen free cafe, is officially opening its doors on Friday, February 6th at 1450 E Sunshine St STE A&B, Springfield, MO 65804. This cozy and welcoming spot is serving up everything from breakfast favorites to flavor-filled lunches to sweet desserts, and everything is 100% celiac safe and alpha gal safe.

The Safe Spoon is the newest venture from Katrina and Alec Hagan, the husband and wife team who opened the Sensitively Sweet allergen free bakery in Nixa, MO in December 2024. After quickly becoming a beloved destination for safe, delicious baked goods, the Hagans have expanded their mission to create a full cafe experience that offers comfort, community, and peace of mind to anyone with food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions. Just like their bakery, The Safe Spoon is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to enjoy good food without fear.
Whether you are stopping in for breakfast on your way to work or settling in for a relaxing lunch, The Safe Spoon has something for everyone. The Safe Spoon also offers a wide variety of canned beverages, including locally made Spring Branch Kombucha and Yes Honey! drinks, along with take home baking mixes from Sensitively Sweet so you can continue safe baking at home.
